When you select “Featured layout” for a link, it automatically expands with a content preview for links from YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, and Instagram. “Text Links” are also available for displaying information like detailed bio, opening hours, or whatever you typically write on your blog.

  • The recent updates to Figma, including new AI features and a redesigned interface, have frustrated many designers. Critics argue that Figma is prioritizing profit and appealing to non-designers at the expense of usability and the needs of its core design community, leading to concerns about the product's future direction.

  • Instagram's latest update allows users to add text directly to photos from the post editor, eliminating the need for third-party apps. Users can also layer another image on top as a sticker, which can be reshaped into various forms like a square, circle, heart, or star. Reels and stories also benefit from new fonts, effects, and animations for text, adding more creativity to posts. These features follow other recent updates, such as a Snap Map-like feature, songs on profiles, and the ability to share up to 20 slides in one post.

  • YouTube Shorts creators can now customize thumbnail frames post-upload with text, filters, and emojis. The option to upload custom thumbnails is not available yet. YouTube says that thumbnails are less critical for Shorts as they are primarily seen in the Shorts feed. However, Shorts can still be discovered through search, hashtags, and the creator's channel. YouTube is considering adding more functionality to Shorts thumbnails in the future, including the ability to upload fully custom thumbnails.

Tab groups, already available for Android and desktop, are now rolling out on iOS, allowing custom-labeled groupings on iPhones and iPads for better organization. Google is also testing a feature that suggests previously opened websites across devices to reduce the need for bookmarks.
